Dr Indra Townsend (she/her)

Indra is a registered psychologist, with endorsement as an educational and developmental psychologist. Indra trained through a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy at Monash University.
Indra has worked with children and adolescents for a number of years and has experience in both private practice and school settings. Indra works with children and adolescents with a range of mental health and developmental needs and has an interest in working with children with anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, and behavioural challenges. Indra also conducts comprehensive cognitive, educational, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental assessments.
Indra utilises a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques including, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance, and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. Indra takes a strength-based and person-centred approach to supporting her clients and works collaboratively with parents to provide support with parenting and caring for their children.
